Accessibility Statement

Chapter Technologies Ltd wants every member of a school community - staff, students and parents - to be able to use Chapter Schools. This statement describes our accessibility approach, where we are today, and how to tell us when something doesn't work for you.

1. Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. Accessibility is considered in design and review as features are built, and a structured audit of the full platform against WCAG 2.2 AA is in progress; this statement will be updated with detailed conformance results as sections are audited.

2. What we do today

The platform is built on accessible component primitives with keyboard operability and appropriate ARIA semantics.
Full light and dark themes with a colour system designed for contrast.
Responsive layouts that work at high zoom levels and on small screens.
Reduced-motion preferences are respected for interface animation.
Semantic HTML structure (headings, landmarks, labels) throughout the dashboard.

3. Known limitations

Some data-dense visualisations (maps and interactive charts) have limited screen-reader alternatives today; the underlying data is available in accessible table or export form.
Documents generated for print (worksheets, reports) are visual by design; source content is available in accessible formats on request.

If anything in Chapter Schools is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us at luke@chapterapp.co.uk - accessibility reports are prioritised, and we will work with you to provide the content or function you need in an accessible way in the meantime.
