Building the future of
careers education
We started with a simple observation: students explore careers in apps, but schools never see that data. Chapter bridges that gap - connecting what students actually want with the careers programmes designed to guide them.
Why I built Chapter
Chapter is founder-led. Here's where it came from.

Founder
Chapter started as a mobile app for students - somewhere to explore careers, see what different jobs actually involve, and build up a picture of the pathways open to them. It was built around what young people were curious about, not around a curriculum plan.
Then schools started asking the question that changed everything: “Can we see what our students are exploring?” The data existed. There was just no bridge between it and the careers programme the school was being held accountable for. Chapter Schools is that bridge.
Your words go here
What you saw. The moment or the pattern that made this feel worth building - a conversation, a school visit, your own experience of careers advice.
Why it matters to you. What you want to be true for a student leaving school five years from now, and why you're the person doing this.
Everything on this site is the actual product. The dashboards, the Benchmark Compass, the coverage maps - they're the same components schools use, running on sample data.

The problem we're solving
Every state secondary school in England is expected to meet the eight Gatsby Benchmarks - a stable careers programme, labour market information, addressing each pupil's needs, careers in the curriculum, encounters with employers, experiences of workplaces, encounters with further and higher education, and personal guidance.
Almost all of that is already happening. The problem is that the evidence for it lives in a dozen places at once: a spreadsheet of trips, a shared drive of lesson plans, an inbox of employer emails, a memory of a corridor conversation. When a careers leader needs to show what their programme delivers - per pupil, per benchmark - they end up rebuilding it by hand.
Chapter Schools takes the work that already happened and turns it into the record of it. That's the whole idea.
The Chapter ecosystem
Two products. One mission. The first careers platform that closes the loop between what students explore and what schools evidence.
Students explore careers, discover pathways, and build their future - through an engaging mobile experience.
Schools see exactly what students are exploring - and use that data to run a compliant, impactful careers programme.
The result: careers education that proves itself
The only platform that connects student career exploration directly to school Gatsby compliance evidence.
What we've built
Not a pitch deck - the actual product surfaces
The Gatsby Benchmarks, measured
All eight benchmarks scored from what actually happened - lessons delivered, encounters attended, guidance recorded - not a self-assessment form.
Careers inside the curriculum
A subject-by-year coverage map that turns everyday lessons into Benchmark 4 evidence, with the resources generated for teachers.
Destinations that tell a story
Where leavers actually went, tracked and mapped - and exportable for newsletters, open evenings and governor packs.
Applications, end to end
UCAS choices, personal statements and references tracked to submission, with deadline rules applied automatically.
“To ensure every student - regardless of background or postcode - has access to high-quality careers guidance that helps them make informed decisions about their future.”
What we stand for
The principles that guide every decision we make
Evidence over anecdote
Every claim we help you make to Ofsted is backed by real data from real students. No guesswork, no spreadsheets - just defensible evidence.
Built for schools
We understand procurement, safeguarding, data privacy, and the realities of school life. Chapter fits how schools actually work.
Student-first
Everything we build starts with what's best for the students exploring their futures. Technology that opens doors, not adds admin.
Equity in careers
Every student deserves high-quality careers guidance - regardless of background, postcode, or the school they attend.
Safe & trustworthy
Schools trust us with sensitive data. We take that seriously - GDPR-compliant, encrypted, and never shared with third parties.
Relentlessly improving
We ship updates every week. Careers leaders shape our roadmap - if it makes your job easier, we'll build it.
